Lexlife’s Take
While Articulate Rise is a powerful tool for rapid development, many organisations are falling into the trap of quantity over quality. Because Rise is so easy to use, internal teams often produce large volumes of courses—many of which are content-heavy but light on engagement. This can lead to learner fatigue and reduced impact, especially in industries like mining where practical application is key.
At Lexlife, we’ve found that a strategic blend of Articulate Rise and Storyline delivers the best results. Rise is excellent for scalable, mobile-friendly content, while Storyline brings depth through simulations, branching, and interactivity. When used together—rather than in isolation—they support both efficiency and effectiveness in learning design.
But if I had to choose a favourite, it’s Storyline for me. The ability to create custom interactions that engage the learner and makes things fun is the key to good eLearning.
